Dr. Alan J. Lee

    Dr. Alan J. Lee became Founding Director of the Teachers Institute of Philadelphia (TIP) in 2005.  Previously, Dr. Lee taught in the School District of Philadelphia for many years as a teacher of American History and Social Science in both neighborhood and magnet schools.  He received his undergraduate degree in History at Swarthmore College, and M.A. and Ph.D. in International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. In subsequent years, he was a lecturer in numerous courses in Political Science at Penn.
