Irene Boghdadi began her career working for 2 years as a Strategic Planner in Memac Ogilvy and Mather, a global advertising agency based in Dubai, before moving to Cairo in January 2011 where she shifted her focus to the field of sustainable development. She began her journey in this field as a Program Coordinator in Nahdet el Mahrousa’s Incubator for Innovative Social Enterprises where she learned all the details and dynamics of the social entrepreneurship field in Egypt. Early 2015, she moved to Chemonics Consultants Egypt where she consulted on sustainable development projects and helped design and implement entrepreneurship support programs in the field of Clean Technology. Boghdadi is also a partner in Cleantech Arabia, a non-profit organisation that supports young scientists, potential entrepreneurs and startups working in Clean Technology to realise their full potential in developing the field of Clean Technology in Egypt and the region. Boghdadi graduated from the American University in Dubai with a degree in Visual Communications.
