Jessica started her career in academia at the University of Michigan. As an undergraduate, she worked on a multitude of research projects, spanning the fields of educational, developmental, and social psychology, as well as psychiatry. After graduation, Jessica returned to her passions in education and worked under a collaborative research grant with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop and online platform to improve teacher education practice and quality. She is continuing her work in education and technology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine by developing a curriculum and mobile application to empower youth and adolescents to manage their own type 2 diabetes.
Jessica is also working towards her Master’s degrees in Social Work and Business Administration, focusing on the intersection of entrepreneurship and social impact. As a graduate student, she has interned at social enterprises and investment funds, focusing on education and international social and economic development. In her free time, Jessica busy planning her next adventure abroad, exploring museums, or watching American football.
